Come abbinare i colori estivi nel tuo outfit: consigli per un look vivace e armonioso
In summer the sun is bright yellow, the sky deep blue, the meadows brilliant green… is that why our wardrobes too are tinged with light and joyful shades? The fact is that black and brown are set aside a little– even if they never go out of style – and are reserved mainly for evening and formal occasions; for everyday outfits, whether for work or leisure, you need to look at the rainbow. The important thing is to know how to match the different colors according to the result you want to achieve. Looking for something understated? Then pastel tones will rule. Want to celebrate nature reborn and the sun of Leo? Make way for neon colors, even contrasting ones. Here are a few ideas to avoid mistakes when you want a look that is both vibrant and harmonious.

Yellow: from straw to lemon

If we had to choose just one from the pencil case to describe summer par excellence, we would undoubtedly pick the yellow pencil. Pastel colors are in fashion this year, so clothing in straw yellow.  The best match is with brown, even a rich shade works perfectly, sage green if you want something neutral and formal. If instead you prefer to brighten things up a bit, try something red, but not too bright. But the truly summery color is lemon yellow: rich and brilliant. It is a color capable of carrying an entire outfit on its own, so you can complete it with ton-sur-ton pieces and accessories; if instead you want to tone down the neon effect, choose basic colors, such as a black shrug or a white blouse to match with yellow trousers.

Orange: contrasting with light blue

Along with yellow, orange is considered one of the lightest and brightest colors available. You can choose it in both the softest shade and the richest, almost neon one; however, the match is always contrasting.  The most used color in combination is deep light blue, even in a sky-blue variation. Grass green is also a good alternative, but if you like to be daring, go straight for fuchsia: a vibrant outfit like the warmest summer afternoon.

Light blue, sky blue, electric blue

Every color has different shades, and light blue is one of those that allows us the most variety. From sky blue to deep blue, they are all colors that have the same base. This summer pastel light blue is certainly in fashion and, to respect its delicacy, match it with neutral colors. A light blue blouse will be perfect with beige trousers or even ivory or cream white. You can even try matching it with pink, but make sure the two shades go well together and do not create an excessive “baptism” effect. If you are looking for something refined, perhaps for a special event, opt for nude: a peach or nude-colored semi-sheer blouse will look great with dusty blue palazzo trousers. If instead the color is richer, as already mentioned, go for contrast. Match it with orange or lilac; if you have a piece in deep blue, you can break it up with white or pearl gray.

The color that gets noticed: fuchsia

Fuchsia is a variant of pink, but the two shades are very different: neon for the first, delicate for the second. Anyone looking for truly colorful pieces cannot help but have something fuchsia in their wardrobe: but what should it be matched with?  For an elegant evening, matching it with black is almost a given, but for something more casual, look for other strong colors: orange, purple, and even bright red. You will stand out in a field of flowers.

Black and white: timeless

And what about black and white? They are always there, only used differently. Total white in summer is always beautiful, elegant, and casual at the same time; if you want to break it up with another color, let it be a truly minimal touch, such as a red belt or an orange bow, nothing more. Total black is only suitable for truly formal events and does not require other colors. Finally, do not forget the basic combination: black and white. It is so classic that you need to know how to balance it to avoid looking ordinary: black trousers and a white blouse is an office look we have seen before, but a black-and-white polka-dot or checkered dress will always get noticed.
